Lafayette, Ind. - Services were at 11:30 a.m. today at the Hippensteel funeral Home in Lafayette for Dallas Gott, 62, who died of an apparent heart attack Friday evening at his home in Lafayette. Mr. Gott was the son of the late William and Carrie Riley Gott of Mellott. In 1948, he married Charlotte R. Richey of Lafayette, who survives. Mr. Gott attended the Mellott school. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European theatre. He had been an employee of National Homes Corp. in Lafayette for the past 27 years. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Josephine) Royer (Boyer?) of Chattanooga, Tenn' and a brother, Walter S. Gott of Newman Grove, Neb. Burial was Monday in the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens near Lafayette. Thanks to Beth R. for typing this one :)

George Dallas Gott, 62, a mill worker at National Homes Corp., died unexpectedly at his home at 4:15 p.m. Friday apparently of a heart attack. Mr. Gott resided at 1400 Central St. Born at Cherry Grove in Tippecanoe County, he had lived most of his life at Lafayette. He had worked at National Homes Corp. 27 years. In 1948 he was married here to Charlotte E. Richey, who survives. He was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union Local 2601 and was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. John N. (Josephine) Boyer of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and one brother, Walter S. Gott of Newman Grove. Neb. - jlr - thanks, Jack :)
